Workshop 1: Mental Health Awareness & Self-Care (February 8, 2025)
This initial workshop introduced Ukrainian youth to fundamental mental health concepts and self-care strategies. Participants learned to understand mental health basics, recognize stress and anxiety symptoms, practice stress management techniques (breathing exercises, relaxation methods), and create personalized self-care plans. The workshop fostered a supportive community atmosphere where attendees felt safe discussing mental health concerns openly. Participants departed with improved confidence in managing stress and a stronger understanding of mental wellbeing priorities.
Workshop 2: Developing Emotional Resilience (February 22, 2025)
Building on the first session, this workshop focused on strengthening emotional resilience as part of the ”Strengthening Mental Wellness” series. Participants explored how to build emotional resilience for navigating crises and adapting to change, practiced mindfulness techniques for staying grounded and reducing anxiety, and learned strategies for creating supportive environments. Attendees developed personalized ”self-help toolkits” with practical techniques they could implement daily. The workshop equipped participants with enhanced confidence in managing emotional challenges while building a foundation for long-term resilience.
